  • Information architecture
  • Compliance-first engineering (HIPAA / SOC 2)
  • React + GraphQL build
  • Audit logging + observability
The challenge

What they needed to solve.

Clinical coordinators were working across six disconnected tools — bed management, lab orders, staff scheduling, transport, discharge, and patient flow. Handoffs were manual. Errors were frequent. Patient time-to-bed was 4× the regional benchmark.

Our solution

How we approached it.

A single consolidated workspace built in React with role-based views for nurses, coordinators, and administrators. HIPAA-compliant from the ground up with full audit logging, field-level encryption for PHI, and SOC 2 alignment built into the deploy pipeline.

Layout system

Single-screen-no-scroll design for bed maps. Status colours match ED standard nomenclature. WCAG 2.2 AAA in clinical contexts.

Design highlights
  • No-scroll bed map view for full ward visibility
  • Colour codes match existing ED triage standard
  • Audit log surfaces in-context, not buried in admin
