Helix Capital — LP investor portal
Investor portal for an $800M private-equity fund — capital calls, distributions, portfolio company KPIs, all in one place.
- LP research (interviews with 16 investors)
- Secure auth + audit
- Capital call workflow engine
- Portco data ingestion pipeline
- PDF compliance side-system
What they needed to solve.
Helix was emailing PDF capital calls to 240 LPs across 14 jurisdictions. Reconciliation was a quarterly nightmare. LPs couldn't track allocation or cumulative IRR without calling the IR team.
How we approached it.
A secure investor portal with role-based access, audit-logged document delivery, capital call workflows, and live portfolio KPI streaming from each portco's data room. PDF receipts are still generated for compliance — but they're a side effect of the system, not the system itself.
Design decisions.
- AaSöhne Breit — exec summaries
- AaSöhne — UI
- AaSöhne Mono — figures
Calm institutional palette. No accent overload. Every dollar figure carries a context tooltip with method.
- Role-based audit trail (every doc view logged)
- Capital-call e-signature flow
- Live portco KPI streaming with delta indicators
What changed.
PDF capital calls by email, manual reconciliation, no LP self-service, support burden on IR team.
Self-service investor portal, audited document delivery, live KPIs, signed capital-call flow.
